Color collation project for Flame flowers (processing….)

Nearly a century for the flame trees had been in Xiamen, took roots in old alleys, streets, and bloom like fire, experienced what’s been through in this seashore city, every season, every year. To local people, they are a part of “Xiamen emotion”.
I’ve been studying in Xiamen University for many years, and saw flame flowers bloom every year. Twice a year: first season when graduation, disengaged and stray, all the reds in the campus made it so beautiful; second season when the term began, noisy and busy, yet quite few would have noticed this bloom…
In the blooming season of flame flowers, the whole campus, even the entire city was covered with red, yet a little different among them. Every year, every season, every tree, the flame flowers has tiny different colors. From this year, we will startup and will carry on one of our “Xiamen emotion”: Color collation project for Flame flowers.
* Different colors among petals: same tree same season—same tree different season—different tree same season….
* Fading course of petals: take fresh petals—make petal samples—scan—take photo—display on the screen—print color cards…
* We will unite all the volunteers with “Xiamen emotion”, try to search for the flame trees that elder oversea Chinese brought here, we will mark, we will number, we will take samples of petals…
* We will also paint a map of Xiamen with the location of these trees, build a website of this project, create a reference of time and location, make collation samples and color cards for different places and different years…
